In the winter I wear navy slacks a lot and was really pleased to find this set of navy socks since most compression socks available are beige or black. I've used Dr. Motion socks before and like them a lot. They are more substantial than most knee highs that offer compression and warmer in winter. These seem a bit tighter than the hose weight mild compression knee highs, but would still be considered mild, just more at the top end of that. I have big calves, and wear a size 9 ladies shoe, but these still come up to my knees. Since my feet and legs tend to swell during the day, the socks may end up down below my knee by a couple of inches at the end of the day, but otherwise stay up fine. They have a slight ribbed appearance and are a good color of navy.
